As an active pensioner I was looking for local volunteering. I found an opportunity by chance with The Garden Classroom (TGC). Would you consider running a regular article on volunteers and volunteering as I am sure there are lots of local opportunities for people like myself, let alone organisations etc that are in need of some helping hands.

Dear Herb-T,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful suggestion and for sharing your experience with The Garden Classroom – it’s wonderful to hear about your involvement!
We’re pleased to let you know that we’ve listened and taken your idea on board. In our latest e-bulletin, Let's Talk...news, we’ve included a section highlighting local volunteering opportunities, and we’re currently working on adding a dedicated volunteering section to our online Communities hub. We hope this will make it easier for people like yourself to discover and get involved in meaningful local initiatives.
Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and we’re always keen to hear from residents who are actively shaping our community. Please do keep the ideas coming!
Warm regards,
Sonia, Digital Engagement Officer, Islington Council.
