Consultation has concluded
Alongside the plans for the new Community Park Building, Islington Council is committed to improving the wider park and landscaping at Wray Crescent. We are committed to replace every tree we remove with four new trees, either in the area or near the park.
Thank you to everyone who took part in our survey. The results of the survey were summarised in the Survey Report available in the Documents section of this page.
Design proposals were also developed and are available in the Design Proposals available in the document section of this page.
Construction will take place in two phases over Spring 2026 and Summer 2026.

Following resident consultation, the works across the Wray Crescent Open Space will be delivered in line with the design proposals (see Document section), in two phases:
Phase One – Spring 2026 This will include new gym equipment and new signage across the park, as well as the refurbishment of the basketball court.
Phase Two – Summer 2026 This will include the demolition and construction of the new building. It will also include other improvements to the park including new playground equipment, refurbishing the existing fencing, planting of new trees and new seating.
