Great news - Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding was allocated to improve the tree house at Highbury Quadrant Estate. This project gave people the opportunity to come together to improve physical and social play for children. We replaced the existing tree house to create a more imaginative play experience for pre-school to junior school aged children, and want to ensure that the improvements meet the needs and priorities of the community.

In the engagement process we explored:

  • a ramp for better accessibility for the younger children to access the lower platform deck
  • convex mirror for younger toddler play
  • balance steps for children aged 4 to 11
  • individual rainbow chimes for toddler play
  • talk tube for toddler play
  • sensory panel for toddler play
  • giant 4-in-a-row for toddler active play
  • scrabble net for older children to gain access to the higher platform
  • higher platform access to the fireman pole
  • pull up ramp to access the higher platform
  • stainless steel slide that can be accessed from the higher platform
  • ladder wall to access the higher platform
