What we’re doing next
We’re pleased that some users had a positive experience using the website however we acknowledge there was significant feedback about users experiencing problems with the site. These are particularly around how you find relevant jobs, understanding the type of role from the job description and saving application progress. We have made some improvements to the career website which address issues with understanding the job location, contract type and name of school employer. These include:
- implementing a map view on each job listing to show the job location
- including the contract type in the header of the job advert
- jobs at schools now list the name of the school
We have also improved how our staff can find relevant jobs by making it easier for staff to find internally recruited jobs at the council. We’re continuing to explore how we address the feedback about finding relevant jobs and saving application progress.
