We’re talking to residents and carers who get care and support from Islington’s Adult Social Care (ASC) services. As you have recently been in touch with the Direct Payment Team, we would love to hear your thoughts on the service and how we can make things better.
Your experience is really important to help us create better services in the future.
How can I can share my thoughts?
You can share your thoughts through a short survey. There are different ways you can respond:
- Return via post: complete the survey posted to you and send it back to us with the prepaid envelope provided. This can be done anonymously.
- Return via email: complete the posted survey and return it to directpayments@islington.gov.uk. You may take photos of the survey and attach these to the email. Email responses will not be anonymous.
- Online: complete the survey (below) via this platform, Lets Talk Islington.
- Phone: We will follow up the letter with a call to understand if you want to take part. At this point we can help you complete the survey over the phone if you prefer.
- Drop-in: come and talk to us in person at 222 Upper Street, N1 1XR
- Wednesday 3 June between 10am and 12pm
- Wednesday 10 June between 1pm and 3pm
Your feedback will be used to make this service better. It will not change or affect your Direct Payment care package now or in the future.
Do I have to take part?
The survey is voluntary, meaning you can choose to take part or not. You can find more information about this at the end of this page. Responding to the survey lets us know that you are happy to take part.
Confidentiality
The information you share will be kept confidential, meaning the only people who will be able to see your information will be staff from Islington Adult Social Care. The only time we may share your personal information is if you tell us something that makes us worry about your safety or the safety of someone else.
Equality data
Collecting equality data can help us make better decisions about our services. That section in the questionnaire is optional.
Note: if you complete the equality data section, your answers will not be anonymous anymore.

This information will not be passed to any third party, and it will not be used for any other purpose.
Data Protection Statement
The information you give us in this survey will only be used to improve Adult Social Care Services. Taking part is voluntary and you can stop taking part at any time. You can take part anonymous if you wish with some of the options available.
Your responses will be looked at by the Direct Payments Team and may be shared internally with other Adult Social Care teams for to make services better. All data will be stored securely and handled in accordance with Islington Council’s data protection policies and relevant legislation. Survey responses and any personal data shared as part of this survey will be stored securely for up to three years, after which it will be deleted.
