Caledonian Park Public Art Mural - Have your say
We are working with artist Wumi, in partnership with Prospex Youth Club, the Cally Clock Tower Centre and Holloway ward Councillors , to create a new graffiti and street art-inspired public mural on the Ball Court Wall at Caledonian Park.
The mural will be located on the existing brick wall at the ball court and aims to become a vibrant, welcoming feature that reflects the character of Caledonian park and the local community.
The project is supported by your Holloway ward Councillors, Cllr Jason Jackson, Cllr Joe Peck and Cllr Claire Zammit.
About the project
This project will bring together graffiti and street art practices with community participation to design and deliver a mural that celebrates the heritage, beauty, stories, and spirit of Caledonian Park. The artwork will highlight the many ways the park is used today while also recognising the area’s history and long-standing community. The key themes will be local heritage the Clocktower and sport reference to the adjacent ball court.
A key aim of the project is to ensure that local people, especially young people, are actively involved in shaping the final artwork. Through a programme of creative workshops and community engagement, participants will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, explore different artistic techniques, and influence the final design of the mural.
How to get involved
We are inviting young people, residents, park users, and the wider community to take part in workshops, where you can share your knowledge and experiences of the area.
The ideas gathered during these workshops will directly inform the final mural design, helping to ensure it reflects the voices and experiences of the community.
Through a series of free workshops, your ideas and artwork will feed directly into the final mural design, which you can then help bring to life by supporting and taking part in painting the mural on-site.
If you're planning on joining a workshop, please let us know you're coming.

The mural will then be created on-site at Caledonian Park, with opportunities for young people to support aspects of the painting process.
