Triangle Estate Improvements
Following the engagement event on the 13 March and the workshop on the 14 June 2024, Islington Council would like to hear from the residents of the Triangle Estate on the updated proposals that have been developed. These include:
- Security improvements
- Podium garden improvements
This project is funded using a combination of Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding, allocated by your Bunhill ward councillors, and Thriving Neighbourhoods funding.
On Wednesday 5 February between 4-7pm we will be holding a resident engagement event by the podium garden area to discuss the updated proposals.
If you are unable to join us, please see the engagement material and designs in the document sections of the page. Please also see the resident survey at the bottom of the page and we would welcome your feedback.
We will be offering refreshments and playful activities for young people as part of the event.
The feedback form on this web page is open until Friday 7 March.
You can also contact the council via the e-mail address TriangleEstate@islington.gov.uk and the details provided in the resident newsletter that has been delivered to the estate.
The Proposals
Security proposals
The proposal is to secure the perimeter of each building on the ground floor and podium level by installing new threshold doorways at each entrance with audio control and fob access, secure access to the lifts at ground floor and first floor to enhance safety at approaches, entrances and exits.
The proposal also includes CCTV, which is not monitored, at the podium level garden.
Landscaping to central podium
The proposal for the podium level garden is aimed to make the garden a usable space for residents of the estate, providing a place to sit down and for children to play in.
