Duty to consult
Under Section 115 of the Environment Act 2021, it is the Council’s obligation to consult members of the public regarding the removal of any street tree that is not dead and/or dangerous.
Proposal
Islington Council would like your feedback on the proposed removal of a Field Maple tree situated outside to the side of 29 Axminster Road, on Windsor Road to mitigate an association with damage to property. Evidence has been supplied to the London Borough of Islington tree service that shows an association between the tree and property damages.
Alternative solutions
Alternative solutions were explored; the tree was crown-reduced.
Tree replacement
Dependent upon the outcome of this consultation our tree planting team will look for a suitable tree planting site as close to the original as possible.
