Islington Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment Consultation 2025
The Islington Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) for 2025-2028 is now out for consultation. The PNA describes where community pharmacies are located, how services are currently delivered and what the current and future need for pharmacy services will be in Islington.
The PNA is used to make decisions about whether to allow new pharmacies to open up in Islington, as well as approving changes to existing pharmacies in Islington, for example if they want to merge premises or provide different pharmacy services.
Islington Health & Wellbeing Board must publish a PNA which details current and planned pharmacy provision in Islington by 1 October 2025. The regulations require that a 60-day consultation is undertaken as part of the PNA development process.
The deadline to respond to the consultation is: 16 August 2025 at 11:59.
This involves an online questionnaire which asks questions about the draft PNA document. We will consider what people tell us in the survey when completing the final assessment, and this will be published on Islington Council's website on 1 October 2025.
Thank you for giving us your views.
