What counts as improving my health and wellbeing?

Health isn’t just the absence of ill-health or accessing healthcare. It’s our complete physical, mental, and social well-being. Wellbeing includes feeling comfortable, healthy, and happy.

Health is determined by a complex interaction between individual characteristics, lifestyle and the physical, social and economic environment.

Because our environment impacts our ability to stay well, that’s why the funding is being spent on residents’ local neighbourhood.

Can I get more involved in this?

Yes! Getting more involved is a great way to support your community, learn and develop valuable skills. If you would like to be involved in helping run any of the projects, get in touch with engagement@islington.gov.uk

When will the funded projects start?

From January 2026, the council will start planning for the successful projects. Depending on the type of project, this may take some time to implement. We will keep you updated of any work happening and the timelines.

How can I keep updated about this project?

We will update this webpage at every stage of this project to let you know what's happening. You can also sucscribe to emails where it says 'Stay Informed' on this page.
