Update - 23 July 2026
In May 2026 residents contacted the council and police to raise concerns about escalating crime and anti-social behaviour on the estate. Since then we have taken the following steps to address this.
Increased Patrols: The Safer Neighbourhood Police have had taskings on the estate to increase visibility and respond to issues they come across.
Parkguard Support: Parkguard officers have been working with the police team, conducting proactive patrols based on reports from residents. There is currently a tasking on the estate.
Housing Tenancy: Ongoing partnership work to tackle reports linked to tenancies on the estate.
Environmental Improvements: We conducted an Environmental Visual Audit on 16 June 2026 with key services and residents. An Environmental Visual Audit helps to produce detailed “Community Intelligence” to support both crime reduction and deliver other improvements to quality-of-life issues via partnership working. The audit is used to identify both physical changes to the environment and highlight where additional resources are needed to reduce crime, fear of crime, and repeat victimisation. The report has been published in the documents section on the right hand side.
CCTV: We have installed a temporary CCTV camera outside Cranworth House, which is a location where we have received a large amount of reports.
Provided Support: Regular visits by outreach teams on the estate, including drug, alcohol, and health services teams.
