Over the past two weeks, police have conducted patrols across the estate, including Biddestone Park. We have also had an Islington Council Parkguard tasking covering the estate and the park. Teams have been able to provide visible reassurance, issue Anti-Social Behaviour warnings and gather important intelligence to build cases.
The Holloway Safer Neighbourhood Team conducted a warrant at an address on Loraine Estate where a person was arrested for drug related offences.
This week we have begun a trial to lock the gate between Biddestone Park and Loraine Estate. This is following intelligence that drug related activity was coming from the park onto the estate through this gate. The park can still be accessed through Holloway Road and Biddestone Road.
Following the Environmental Visual Audit on Loraine Estate in June 2026, we put forward several suggestions for security improvements to the Making it Happen fund. The team are reviewing all suggestions and decisions will be made in due course. Residents will be kept updated.
