Tenancy Updates
- Supported a vulnerable person who is at risk of cuckooing. Joint visit between Community Safety and Tenancy, made necessary referrals and requested additional welfare checks.
- Several Notice of Seeking Possession (NOSP’s) served, which are last warnings to anyone breaching tenancy conditions. Further breaches within a 12-month period, the case will be referred to legal to begin proceedings to take possession of the property.
- Referrals to Cuckooing Panel where we have received intel about possible cuckooed addresses.
Community Safety and Police Updates
- Safer Neighbourhood Teams have been patrolling hot spot locations on the estates on a regular basis. Intelligence shared with specialist policing teams to inform proactive patrols.
- We have had an active Parkguard tasking on the estate covering hot spot locations.
- Both police and Parkguard have issued Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) warnings to individuals they have witnessed committing ASB. Some individuals have been issued Community Protection Warnings.
- Community Safety have been reviewing intelligence and body-worn video gathered from patrols and following up with appropriate services.
- Bids for funding have been submitted by Community Safety and Estate Services to make physical improvements on the estate. Awaiting outcomes of this.
- Business cases for temporary CCTV in hot spot locations have been submitted and awaiting allocation of resources.
- Girdlestone Park play area being locked during the evenings to deter ASB.
- Drug and alcohol outreach teams have been visiting the estate and area to carry out assessments and offer support to those who might need it.
