We are consulting on proposals to reduce the number of reception places available at Duncombe and Laycock Primary Schools.
This is because the latest data shows fewer children starting school in Islington due to a drop in birth rates that is likely to continue. This trend is also happening in many other inner-London areas.
No other changes are planned to admissions for council-run(community) schools in 2027/28.
Have your say on these proposals by completing our short surveyby Friday 5 December 2025.
