From April 2024 all social landlords will have to meet new Standards to make sure that they -

  • provide their tenants with decent, energy efficient and safe accommodation

  • act in a transparent manner

  • hold their landlords to account

The four Standards are:

  • Safety and Quality Standard

  • Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard

  • Neighbourhood and Community Standard

  • Tenancy Standard

The new Standards are currently open for public consultation until 17 October on the government website.

Housing Operations would also like to include the views of our residents in our consultation response by asking you to complete our short survey
