We are excited to announce that we will be opening a Black Cultural Centre in Islington in 2024.
Having listened to feedback from our African and Caribbean residents through our ‘Let’s Talk Islington’ engagement, we understand the importance of having a dedicated space that will bring the Black community together as one.
In 2022 we made a commitment to establish a Black Cultural Centre , delivering this commitment is also in alignment with our vision as a council to create a more equal borough which is set out in our Islington Together 2030 plan and is part of our commitment to challenge inequality; tackling racism, injustice and inequality in Islington.
