Islington Council is committed to improving shared spaces on estates in Islington, with the intention of leaving a legacy that benefits the residents.
We are working in partnership with residents: we want you to be actively involved in making positive change to your community and neighbourhood. We want you to be proud of where you live and be empowered to make a difference.
Great news! We are upgrading the communal areas at Aubert Court and Drakeley Court, rejuvenating them into an attractive community space for all to use.
We are looking to implement improvements that promote community cohesion, allowing people to come together and improve their mental and physical well-being.
The improvements we are considering are as follows:
Connect the communal garden spaces of Aubert Court and Drakeley Court to provide improved outside space for all residents.
Provide new or improved facilities for play, sport and socialising.
Enhance ecology and biodiversity.
Increase amount of green space in Drakeley Court, by a reduction of hard surfacing.
Remove the Drakeley Court stores to improve views across the car park from adjacent properties.
