We are seeking views on our proposals for Islington's co-ordinated school admissions scheme and admission arrangements for Islington community schools for the academic year 2025-26, as well as Islington’s local arrangements for in-year admissions.
We are proposing to decrease the admission number for some community primary and secondary schools in the borough as a result of lower birth rates and falling school rolls.
Responses are welcomed by completing our online questionnaire by 5pm on 1 December 2023.

Background
When changes are proposed to admission arrangements, admission authorities must consult interested parties about their proposals for a minimum of six weeks between 1 October and 31 January in the year the arrangements will be set.
Currently, admission authorities are considering whether to change their admission arrangements for admission to reception class and year 7 in September 2025.
Islington Council is the admission authority for Islington's community schools.
